Daniel H. Disney and Charles Elias Disney continue with
Meredith Disney's Enterprises...
Charles and his late Mother established LodeStar Pictures in 1956 and provided “seed financing” for numerous film projects across many years. Most of the film projects were in collaboration with independent production companies and various films were ultimately released by major and minor film studios in Hollywood, California. The film projects were financed under the particular film banner as mandated and established by the film producers. Most of the seed financing all originated through confidential agreements and longtime family and personal friendships.
Films financed were done under the exclusive privacy covenant agreed to and in behalf of LodeStar Pictures and particular production companies. In later years Daniel Disney was involved and served as the creative director for graphics and photographic arts for LodeStar Pictures. David Nelson was active with LodeStar Pictures for a number of years.
Many years earlier, LodeStar Pictures offices were originally located in two historic studios: in Burbank, (Walt Disney Productions) and in Hollywood, (Paramount Pictures) film studio locations. And for many years maintained offices in the Hollywood First National Building in the heart of Hollywood at 6777 Hollywood Blvd. & Highland Ave. before the enterprise merged with another film financing entity following the passing of the principal founder.
